Yup the Gila is great. A lot of flood damage down there now though. Went through there deer hunting a few weeks ago. Crazy how water can do what it does in a flash flood.

Yeah, a buddy in his lifted wrangler went out there on a bow hunt and came back after 2 days cuz the flood washed everything out and he spent a good 4 hours each day winching out

I heard about some guy who got stranded there in September on a bow hunt and had to have water air dropped to him for three weeks until the rain subsided enough that he could drive out. That fire was really bad this summer, and ill tell you what, the Gila may not be the same in my lifetime between the black range fire and the fire last summer.

The way I look at it, winch is like extra, someone will always have one when your wheeling and if you by yourself you should know not to do anything stupid. What I plan is building my front bumper with a hitch reciever and mount the winch on a plate that goes into the reciever just in case I could use it both front and back

Great minds think alike cause thats exactly what i was thinking.... id like to build my own but im gonna buy the front and build the back bumper and tire carrier, Question is something like this very practical or even safe to wheel with for airing up?

Yeah that should work, I would like to just get a nitrogen(i think) tank like tom. I want to build a prerunner front bumper and I think Mike was thinking about getting a precut kit that I wanted to make templates of for the rear. and for the tire carrier I want this
http://www.detoursusa.com/knucklebone.php, they make a mount that attaches to your hitch a lil to the side of the actual hitch so you can still tow with it
