What happened Mike ?
Ok EGR system cleaned up and it needed it... all the hoses where clogged with mud and carbon and the valve was stuck.... looks like it is working a little bit better .....(if I didn't break anything I just saved myself $200.... lol)

Take back Utah rally was way cool, everyone should plan on attending next year.
Got my new APN header installed this afternoon, no broken bolts, no leaks, three hours start to finish. The Jeep gods smile upon me today, LOL!

Good job Jeff.... so now you have to let us know if that jeep is running better
I spent the afternoon playing with the jeep too cleaned up some vacuum line, and sensors
and ....
spotted a CB radio at the DI.... I figured that for $2 I should give it a try.... so a few wire cuts, a few drilling and crimping wires and here it goes, working OK (I tested it with one of my portable CB..... way cool lol)
So right now it is above the rear view mirror and hooked up to some wires that were there and I didn;t know what they were for.... (keyless entry if I recall).... Ahah way fun
I also think i have spotted where my noise is coming from ... it looks like the front CV joint of the front drive shaft is banging on the exhaust pipe. When I turn it it doesnot rub, but there is scratch marks on the pipe that wer enot there before.
I think that when I give gas, the motor is moving enought to bring the CV close. If I give little gas it doesnot do it... if I jump on the pedal, it does it... and this is when I see the motor moving too...
.... Engine mounts seem to be the next one the list ....

Thats awesome, can't beat a $2 CB. Do yourself a favor Steph, when you do your motor mounts change your transmission mount. They tend to wear each other out. I did my motor mounts and waited to do the trans mount, it ended up tearing up one of my new motor mounts.

Yeah there was everything working the mic, the fused + and the bracket... might not be perfect but it works for me lol
It is a cobra 19 something 40 chanels...
Oh yeah I got one of these magnetic antenna at wally world for $12 for that and I still need to find a way to run that wire but that is OK
anyway....

Well day one of the swap has started! First of I thank mike for all is help and efforts in helping me do this. We started by taking the center console out and disconnecting the linkage. Then we moved to the underside of the jeep and it gets a little harder we drained the tcase and tranny and found burned smelling gunk in the ax and somewhat ok fluid in the tcase, next we got the tcase unbolted and removed, the exhaust is gonna suck because i will probably need to repipe the whole dang thing! But we only could get 1 of the 2 nuts off the collecter so I gotta figure that out somehow pb blaster is how we got the one off but boy 2nd is bad 220xxx miles of heat really does some damage. I will let everyone know how the second day of the tear apart goes. But the rally was cool and I get my tranny finally!
