well i found out that the new radiator is not the same at the stock one. basically they are cheap and want you to spend more money on adapters and fittings... so with the trans line they want you to cut off the stock fitting and put a new one on.... after getting it all figured out and getting the right fittings with they did not even have so more work for me to make it work. but hopefully i will have it all put back together after my busy day tomorrow, as of now i am still planning on sunday but we will see.
oh steph you left your book so if you want to help again tomorrow you can get it then if not i will run it by sometime.

Why not? I can have mine out in less than that. I have changed it a few times since I bought it, once due to a cracked end cap, upgraded to a 3 row. Then I hit the 3 row with a grinder while cutting fender brackets off, so I yanked it to have it fixed. Then the fan hit the radiator at Little Moab, so I pulled it to have it fixed then. Plus i pulled it when I blew the motor and did the motor swap swap. So.. needless to say I can swap my radiator in 20 minutes, but it may be due to the fact I've had it out a few times already.

yeah good times... and yes I did mine with Mike and I am grateful for his help still....on his driveway so with light and tools ....
No need for power tools, and it was done very quickly. But I have a manual transmission so no fancy transcooler lines to deal with ....
And experience with XJ's is a little bit overrated hehe tiral and errors this is the best way to do it.... (OK right now I am more errors than anything but it is coming )
I said not quite because unfortunately as he said, Steve broke a cooler fitting and that obviously means a longer time
Anyway he has it figured out so all will be good, and the next one might just take only 20 minutes lol.... not that nobody wishes that there will be a next one
