I hear you there, I did'nt necesarily love em when I was growing up, liked the old CJs and all. I bought my first on a whim, a bright red 2001, loved it, lost it due to divorce but I've been hooked ever since.

Well from what I know (which isn't much), I think you've got a better XJ now, than a 2001, and I'm a firm believer you're better off after a divorce (been there, done that) so you're doing alright.

I was more of a "muscle car" guy growing up. I've owned 3 Camaros and a few trucks through the years. When we moved out here my wife's sister gave us her old ZJ and with the snow coming I wanted a cheap 4x4 so I bought my XJ and I feel in love.

It may not be the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned, but its probably the most capable. Plus, I like wrenching on stuff so its kindof an on-going project. It was the best $1300 I've ever spent!

Yeah, I loved the 01 but must say I think I enjoy the 98 better, perhaps because I had to work harder for it. Heres to your newly discovered and my rediscovered hobby bordering on mental illness!

I agree with builtnotbought89! I would not have done that especially since it is obviously not your property. I don't know about the situation and I am also not one to rant. I don't even want to know... just please delete that from your post and keep it to your self so you don't ruin it for the rest of us!

Illegal Activity
5. Do not talk about illegal activity on this forum. This includes illegal drugs, parties, wheeling, internet use, etc. Violators of this rule will be dealt with on a case by case basis

Straight from the CF rules, please read them. Posting stories about trashing peoples property on CF does not make you look cool and definately is'nt going to make you any friends here. It's stunts like that which give the folks that oppose our sport the ammunition to shut down the areas we're still lucky enough to have open to us.

Right on, Zach and I would'nt be able to go down until after he gets out of school the afternoon of the 28th (teenager, don't want him missing any school), but we'll look at it. I think we should be able to come down for a couple days. Sounds like a good time and I'm having a serious Moab Jones! Do we need reservations at the campground?

Ya I would recommend making resorvations! U gotta put up half of ur bill to hold any camp spot, but the place nice, sinks, showers, trees, & fire pits. Not really my kinda camping, but it is nice to have a hot shower after a half day break down!!!
