have you unspooled it and rewraped it yet or do you want some help with that so you can get some preasure on it? if so i can run down and you can pull my jeep

that looks sweet! good job

I really dont think it matters if its hooked to the d rings or not, I used to always have it hooked to mine in my blazer and it didnt hurt anything in the 5 years I had it on there

Thanks Sean, I'm really pleased with the finished product. And yeah, the D-ring comment was for Mike cause I know he'll give me crap about it, ha ha.

The manual just says to spool the last meter by rotating the drum by hand with the clutch disengaged. No mention of what should be done with the hook when not in use. I'll eventually get an isolator for it, until then I just wont crank it down too tight, which is what I assume they are getting at with the whole do the last meter by hand thing.

i hooked it to my d ring all the time and i see no prob with it
no i didnt break my jeep i just dont have gas money

so i got one u-joint down, i have never had such a freaking problem with them as i did with that one but after almost a hour and half i got it done with the sacrifice of the other $33 joint its done
