my old 44 with the factory LS didnt have that.... must be a ford thing lol. wait Shawn you work for ford you should know this stuff , but i talked to the other Sean and you can do a 8.8 swap for under 150 which is a big improvement for a 35

its the rear, I hated the locking and unlocking of the locker I had in my blazer, it was kinda scary driving in ogden canyon, so Im not going that route again, and your right free is awesome!! not worried about tire wear, I put on like 10,000 or less a year

the S shaped thing is the spring that pushes out on the side spiders to hold them against the friction plates

it doesnt unless you have limited slip, yours is open diff
