Thanks!
Awesome! Yeah I did Kane a few weeks ago as well. When you ran Hells did you do Hell's Gate? I want to but have yet to try. You will really enjoy Poison Spider and Gold Bar... they both have a wide variety of obstacles for all sized rigs. Now that I have ran them both the only thing left to do is the Poison Spider / Golden Spike / Gold Bar Rim combo! I think I may have some trouble on the Golden Crack though if I attempt it with my current setup. Ohh and if you guys are going to do Little Moab again let me know.... I may just have to make the drive up there and join ya. That place looks fun!
Oh & cliff I'm sooo jelous that u hit gold bar rim yesterday! When I hit moab last year I ran fins & things, hells revenge, & kanes creek, but next summer I want to run poision spider & gold bar rim!

Ya I don't know when we will hit lil moab again, but we'll make sure u know about it! I didn't take hells gate, cause there was a huge group waiting to go up it! I think u will be fine with the golden spike I've seen youtube vids of a stock tj going over it!?!?

Well I have narrowed it down to a few choices but I keep coming back to this even though the price is pretty high.

As far as tires I am not sure other than there going to be 33s. I figure what I will do is go for around 5.5" now with 33s since I am still going to be using the Cherokee for a DD for a while. Then when it gets up higher in miles I will get another DD and turn the Cherokee into mostly a trail rig. When that happens I might try to put 35s on. What do you think... is 5.5" a good height? I have been looking at RE, Rough Country and Rusty's. It just seems that everyone loves the RE kits from all the reviews I have read. The only thing is between the lift, shocks, SYE and drive shaft + shipping its just over two grand.

I'm sitting on 5" RE 3" & 2" teraflex puck/shackle I like RE & all, but I wish I looked around more! Bang for my buck kinda thing!!!
If I was u I'd get the RC's 4.5" for like $700 & then 2" puck/shackle like $90! I don't like how that RE kit is 3" leaf, RC has a full 4.5" leaf pack!
That's what a good friend of mine is running & he loves it!!!

Hmm that's definitely something to think about. You say that the 5.5" RE Kit has 3.5" leafs? I was reading through the component list and it says 4.5" leafs and 1.25" shackles. Am I reading something wrong?

Ya my bad it is a 4.5" leaf, but for $1500 I'd be lookin into a long arm kit!!! Compare the RE & RC kits! I've installed & wheeled both brands & RC makes more sence IMO, but in the end its ur rig so do what ever makes u feel good!
I was gonna upgrade to a 6.5" lift, tell I started thinking rear coils! I'm gonna put a 8.8 axle in & I have some 8" coils for the front & then move my front coils to the rear! That's way down the road though but its not my DD

Gotcha... well thanks for the input! Like I said I still am not sure what I am going get so it's great to hear some other suggestions. I think I am going to stay away from long arms for now since it's my DD. I definitely like RC's price a lot more and that's for 1.5" more lift. I just wanted to make sure I didn't regret going with the cheaper one. You said you have installed and ran a RC kit and liked it... that's good to hear. Also if I got the RC kit I should probably get it with the control arm drop brackets right? Hmmm rear coils... that's something I haven't heard of before. Sounds like a cool project... keep me updated when you do it!

It will be nice to have a rig with a winch in our group, just in case! I'm planning on getting the backbone & XRC8 winch this summer spring!
Ya I think we need to start planning a winter snow run either late dec. or in jan.!
