I'm going to have to wait until after the trip to do sliders, money is a little tight until after. Forgive my retardedness but what did we figure for a price again?

I think Ryan said it would be like $97 + welding rod.

what kinda deal r we talkin on powder coating jeff?

I called around to all the other steel suppliers, but they all only sell in mega bulk! I think we should just go through wasatch steel, cause we can get the smaller pieces cut to lengths as needed! Here the blue prints I drew up...

what do yall think????
i would put three legs on the frame. if you come down hard on a rock they will bend and you will still dent the rocker. i made some on my last jeep just like these and i dented the hell out of my rocker. just a tought you can do what you want.

How thick was the steel you used under your rocker? Every slider I've seen on the market has two, seems to me if the design was a problem we'd see more sets with three, just my .02.

YEP with the .125 wall tubing we'll be using we're more likely to rip it strait off the "frame" than to bend the steel! not to mention a hard hit will also be distributed along the whole length of the pinch weld! thanks for your input though...

Not to bad man! My boy turns 17 tommorow and I get to see my daughter this weekend as she'll be in town, so all is good. Oh yeah, my parts from Rustys made it into town today and are being delivered Monday so I'm pretty much an all around happy guy right now.

Ryan, I was going to suggest to you to look around at some of the sliders being offered online and check out some of the designs, alot of them have a 90* brace coming off the rear unibody mount that mounts to the spring hanger. I think it would give you a little more strength as far as vertical movement. If I was fabbing up my own I think I'd include it, Just a thought.

Right on, I'll pass on your greetings. So your fixing up the ZJ? Your last post about it led me to believe it got towed and you were gonna be rid of it, ha ha! That price is'nt too bad installed, gotta have a ride back and forth to work anyway, right? You have to love the tax return, thats what bought my sliders and crossmember.

The sixth and eighth pictures show a variation on what I was mentioning.

Tow companies are ripoffs, we deal with that BS all the time at work!
