Hey Ryan, I will tell you right now. you will have a hell of a time getting the E-Brake hooked up on that axle. I swapped in a 8.25 out of a 99 into my 88 and it took em for ever to get it right. good luck.

I have been trying to get to tear a part for about a week since they updated their web site with a 2001 XJ in their lot!!! I get there walk strait to the '01 like a man on a mission, bolt cutters pop pop pop pop U-bolts are gone axles out! 20-30 minutes later its in my garage & pics are on CF... then I get a call from Tom who informed me for the first time ABS '01s came with D35!!! LMAO I WAS SOOOOOO PISSED haha!

I didnt even look at the diff. & I had a ton of crap to do later in the day, so I was rushed! I'll get my money back tomorrow when I take the POS back haha

oh, ya now that you say that from the spring perches i can see that they do look a little dana 35ish..... you took a pic of the top i cannot see anything but the top..
hope they give you your money back. and you fine a actual 29 spline 8.25.

Plus it doesn't have the weird looking cast's on the top of the housing like a 8.25

Ya THANK GOD I got it at tear-a-part not pick-n-pull, cause pick-n-pull only gives in house credit!!! I checked the receipt the second I seen the diff!
