I feel ya Jeff, I wanted to finish putting my front axle in but I forgot my old knuckles were reamed to 9/16, since I don't have a reamer it is parked until I can afford one. Then I found a caliper bolt broke off inside the hole, tried removing it to no avail. So now I get to take the knuckle off my old axle and put it on this one along with new balljoints.

I stretched out the outer springs and it seems to have gained some manners, but we'll see. I want "Get some" on the trail, but I still have to have her get me to work everyday. Hard to find that happy medium, LOL!

Default Please help out a fellow jeeper/forum member!

Alright guys, I've got a small favor to ask.. I just purchased a new XJ and need some help lifting it!! My buddy who helped me lift my previous XJ isn't available for a while (as well as his tools), so I figured I would branch out to the forum for some assistance. It's a simple, 3" lift; New coils, leaf packs, shocks, and transfer case drop. For the most part I have the mechanical experience to accomplish the lift, as i have done one before, but i would feel much more comfortable with a veteran overlooking me. My tool supply is VERY limited. When lifting an XJ a torch, impact, etc. are very nice to have. It would probably be better to come to you, assuming you have the required tools. I'm more than willing to compensate for your time and/or provide pizza, beer, etc. Anywhere from Logan to the Salt Lake valley would be great! Thanks in advance, please shoot me a PM if you can help me out!

that sucks, sorry to hear that its giving you issues. A selectable would be nice.

And... knowing you did it/built it
Learning new things
Knowing you can fix it for cheap without resorting to a shop

the list actually could go on forever but if it wasn't for the countless time, blood and anger that i have into that thing i would sent it to the crusher and take up knitting. at least that hobby could pay me if i sold my stuff at craft shows

I don't see why more of us don't do both . "How'd you afford that upgrade??" "The annual Crafts Fiesta, of course! Did you miss it??"

Its the Jeep safari of craft shows, really.
