I have been looking into high steer arms for my build and came across these. they look nice for people running hiem steering, just thought I would throw it out there. double capture arms
If your rig is a DD, TRE's should last longer with less maintenence, especially with our weather.
I'd stick with a TRE setup for DD's.
Heims are plenty strong and have lots of angle flexibility, but are more prone to contamination. At least that is the general consensus from talking around...i have never run heim steering, so this is all technically hearsay

Do you want to run heims?

but your "hearsay" is what i have read and heard. also never ran hiems, but don't want them to start clunking and making noise so chevy TRE's where my choice!

Anyone ever heard of or seen someone putting chev 1 ton TRE's on a WJ hub? I'm thinking about swapping out to a WJ set up on my xj. I want the larger discs, dual piston calipers, & high steer, but if I got it all apart I might as well throw some DOM at the linkage while I'm there! Thanks Gorilla for putting all this in my noggin! Lol

I got my flat tops machined at advanced4x4 today (45$). great people. they also installed new dana spicer ball joints into my knuckles for 75$ a side(parts/labor) to me that is pretty cheap(knuckles where already off obviously) but most spicer ball joints i found online where 60$ a pair plus shipping. they machined/drilled and did all 4 ball joints by 4pm and i dropped them off at 12 noon. they where great for me to deal with.
they also sell high steer arms for a good price of 75$ with hardware and will drill and taper the arms(TRE side) for any specific application at no charge.
