Boredom at work & no ones on the forum... so I'll talk to myself. I can't wait to try out these tire deflators, & hi-lift handle keeper! Also I've been looking at ways different company's mount jerry cans, product of bad gas mileage I guess! Lol

Speaking from personal experience, jerry cans suck. Big, heavy, hard to handle with a crappy nozzle design that ussually results in as much fuel on the ground as in the tank. Just my two cents.

as of June 20, 2011

Just received a phone call from the PG Forest Service, they said the Shafer Trail #194, aka Forest Lake Trail is going to be closed to motorized vehicles for quite some time even after they open up the 085 road (the main dirt road)

The 194 trail is going to be blocked off at the water crossing and they will be writing tickets to any motor vehicle that goes up to Forest Lake.

This is only temporary; they will go up after it dries out to see how badly the run off this year has damaged the trail. Apparently they went up the canyon recently and said it was a "river" coming down the trail still.

I am not sure about the status of the other trails.

That sucks about AF and you know mineral basin trail is even worse off!

I gotta have another way to feed the beast. Were the jerry cans you've used the old style, or new? I'm sure they would be heavy as hell, but the filler neck looks like any other modern gas can. What might you guys recommen?

The ones I used had to be old style, that was about 8 years ago. I saw some slim plastic cans on some of the Jeeps at last years all Jeep show that I really liked the idea of, I tried to find you a link but could'nt find them they're supposed to be pretty good. I bet if you contact OverlandXJ on here he'll know of them (he does the expedition type wheeling), or at the very least can point you in the right direction.

Default Birthday run.

So my birth day is on July 10th. I will be heading up providence canyon(Logan area) for the day. this is a sunday so nobody should be working. "since we are in Utah" I would really like to see some people from down south of me come up and run this with me. I am giving you pleanty of time to plan on funds and ok it with the boss.... let me know if you want to come up.
The trail is not two bad you can do it open open, one locker is perferred in some spots. we still have a little snow but by then i think it will be about gone. trail takes about 3-4 hours depending on what and where we go. if you have never been to the top to over look the valley you are missing out on some great mountain veiw's..

get one of these http://store.colemans.com/cart/gerry...l?currency=USD

with one of these http://store.colemans.com/cart/flexi...zed-p-824.html

thats what me and a ton of other people i know use and they are awesome! not leaky like the actual "gerry cans" plus they have a gasket in them to prevent any possible leaks and they can be mounted in any direction, even upside down.

a little pricey but well worth it.

Ya I seen those slim cans at the teraflex store today. it would be really hard to duplicate anything like that slim gas can! I'll have to look around, & ponder it some more...

As for your run steve money is gonna be tight for me, cause I have a camping trip over the 4th, & lagoon on the 8th!
