The trail is not two bad you can do it open open, one locker is perferred in some spots. we still have a little snow but by then i think it will be about gone. trail takes about 3-4 hours depending on what and where we go. if you have never been to the top to over look the valley you are missing out on some great mountain veiw's..
I should be able to make it, just let me know a when and where to meet up. I'm not gonna let a guy down on his B-day and Im itching for some new terrain to test the Jeep out on. I'll see what I can do to rally some of the troops to join us.

we usually meet at macey's it is right off of the highway and is a straight shoot to the canyon. time does not really matter if people do come then it is a drive so i don't know how early you would want to go. I would say at least leave macey's by noon. I will get a address or if sean comes he can lead the way.

I gotta have another way to feed the beast. Were the jerry cans you've used the old style, or new? I'm sure they would be heavy as hell, but the filler neck looks like any other modern gas can. What might you guys recommen?

in the past ive noticed that the forest lake trail takes more damage from the snow then mineral basin. But as soon as both trails open up im going to have another run/ camp out at the cabin like we did last year.... seemed like everyone had a blast

yep we have about 5 canyon's in the vally plenty to camp. you can camp right at the mouth of providence. we usually come out black smith fork canyon. so you could camp in hyrum and then meet me to go up prov, then we can drive right to your camp site when we are done.
I might be done for some camping but it will probably only be me and my 6 year old.
