Got a bunch of work done on ShakeNBake's XJ this morning. Wire wheeled all the rust spots on the roof, followed by a whole lot of sanding. Prepped it up with metal ready and POR-15'd it. A skim of filler and some more sanding and we should be ready to repaint the roof. Good feeling spending some time with my son on his project.

Yeap, we're gonna deal with resealing it after we get the rust problem tackled. I know a windshield guy so it should'nt be too painful.

No. it has'nt worked down in there yet, we went ahead and coated everything under the trim with the POR-15 as well, just as a precaution, I was kind of surprised that there was very little corrosion under the rubber trim. Its mostly contained to the roof just behind it and on three or four random spots on the roof as well as a couple spots in the drip rail.
