It's up about half speed, but its more about heat control on the metal... also seems best to lay a small bead on the edge of each metal then connecting the 2

Damdest thing, the locker was pretty quiet to and from work today, just a click here and there in reverse. Guess I'm going to have to pull it out, its acting like it did when I broke the active spacer on my initial botched

Yes it is! lol but its all in good fun. Remember taking a strap is a cheap alternative after giving it a good try! But hammering down is fun too!
Awsome, thats "cheap" for what it is in my book, I was told by a few people for a good welder that can weld 1/4" Would be $1200+ lol
I have a few things I need to get fixed by thanks giving... then its over for the year while I save for tires lol
LOVE my Hobart 187, so has anybody that has ever used or borrowed it. They usually make the comment "when did I learn how to weld?"

I've been kinda missing the last few months. My ZJ has been in need of some work since mid summer, but I had a bad bicycle wreck in August.
About 40MPH, downhill on roadbikes. Front tire went flat and I went headfirst into the ditch. Broke my neck at the base of my skull, crushed a vein in my neck, obliterated the T9 vertabra and damaged the T7, 8 and 10 as well. And some roadrash and broken ribs. I'm fused from T7-12 now and wear a cervical collar for at least another month. And no driving till its off. Yes, I was wearing a helmet, suffered a concussion, but no bleeding in the brain. I still have some memory issues. I was lifeflighted from Tooele to the U.
Its been 10 weeks since the accident. I'm doing well in therapy, getting stronger again. Since I had my knee replaced last year I worked hard to get stronger than in years past, and it has really paid off. And the knee survived the wreck with no issues. If I hadn't been in as good shape as I was, I wouldn't have been on that bike. And, I will get back on that bike next spring. I have to.
I'm damned lucky to be able to walk, let alone have all feeling and abilities. There are a couple minor issues I hope resolve with further healing and therapy. But can live with.
I've lost better than 35 pounds as well. Silver lining in this black cloud. I weigh less than I did at least 7 years ago.
Just make sure you have your kids wear a helmet, that fits right. And consider one for yourself on the bike. I believe it saved my life, and at least my brain. Physics overwhelmed me with mass and kinetic energy meeting a quick stop. And attitude is helping get me back on track. And, I've been back to work part time for the last three weeks. Will be missing one day a week for therapy. Until I can drive again.
Just something to think about folks...

Just towed a 17yr old kid who ran out of gas a mile from his house. He has an 89 comanchee with only 80K. wanted to rip him for running out of gas...but he's only 17. And he seems to be an aficionado of the MJ's. Just a jeeper helping another. Got caught up on your posts from Moab...looked like a great trip ! Got a couple inches here in park city today. Wanted to wheel locally but had to install a snow blower on friends atv. uggghhh im rambling...beers will do that.
