One wreck doesn't make me accident prone. I try to get everything out of a situation as I can. Er, um... That didn't come out right.
The knee replacement was simply wearing the the thing out. I took that chance to get back in shape and all that. Well. This wreck put a lot of things in perspective. I was spared for a reason and I'll be darned if I don't take things by the horns again instead of sitting around doing nothing out of fear... (It's almost open season for med and insurance stuff and you can BET I'm upgrading life insurance and short term disability coverages!)
I'll let you all know, this was as far from my thinking when I started that bike ride as anything could be. Won't take anything for granted anymore. I spent a week in ICU and then 2 weeks in the U's physical rehab. and a couple weeks after that I couldn't do much for myself thanks to a torso brace. But with that brace off, its a new game. The whole of this rehab and recovery is still a year in the making. I can't rush things.
Sure hope to get back in the Jeep when I get this collar off. To say its uncomfortable is a little bit misleading. I have to sleep in it too. So I am really tired of it. I can take it off to shower, and I'll tell ya, I never knew how heavy my freaking head was!!!

I wont be making it down again until I go down April/May with my boy to break him in on some moderate stuff. The next few months will be spent nursing XJ wounds from the last Moab trip and upgrading a bunch of things. Have fun though, its wheeling like nothing else.
