I just got a new battery for the jeep for 5 bucks.... Brought the old one to Napa because there was a napa sign on top of it, and pretended I didn;t know when it was bought... they replaced it with no question asked....

I am getting there guys, electrical gremmlins will not win... Looks like bad battery was the reason for the drain, but I have / and still checking all circuits one by one for shorts...

I can't wait to get to the mechanical part and actually learn something more interesting lol....

This week end I will try to tour some junkyards... any body know of one that is not too bad around ? I have heard that the one in Willard is good.

Just got back from Moab! Great trip, we only ran a couple trails. We ran part of gold bar rim, gemini, and metal masher and fins n things on friday. Saturday we ran steel bender. where i broke a u joint and a sway bar link. Then i blew a tire, the sidewall split from being old rubber, on my parents 05 unlimited, (dont buy tires in moab.. expensive 2 33s for 500) lol

And all this was done in my xj with 3" lift and 235s lol. gotta love when people say you cant do a trail with small tires and small lift.
was only winched up one spot on steel bender.

Full flex

few more pics here

Thats awesome, great pic, a 3" lift on an XJ actually makes 'em quite capable of a lot of stuff one would'nt think possible.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! You guys hear that? i think I hear crickets in this thread its so quiet!

that is because everybody is working on their jeeps to have them ready for the early srping ?

When are we going to see some pics of your rig with the long arm upgrade Cliff?
You are right Steph74! Between trying to get the Cherokee finished and ready for Easter Jeep Safari and working 6 days a week I have had hardly any time to be on here The good news is the Jeep is basically done. The lift and SYE are installed... what a project!!! Every bolt that could have snapped did... damn new England salt Plus there were a few other small complications. I adjusted the linkage on my t case so now that shifts properly. I welded up my exhaust so that doesn't rattle like crazy anymore. I got my new wheels and the new BFG AT's go on tomorrow. I changed the oil the other day. I am in the middle of my rear seat install... hopefully I can get out of work tomorrow at a reasonable time and get that finished up. The flares are removed but I decide I am going to wait till after EJS to trim my fenders since they don't rub that bad and I want to take my time and do a nice job. Plus I have to plasma cut my front ARB bumper afterwords to match the fenders. Then I am thinking I am going to custom fit some TJ flares on so I don't get pulled over. After that its on to a new rear bumper with swing out tire carrier, rock rails and possible upgrade the axles when I get some cash. I have been meaning to post some pics and update my build thread since the lift has been on for the past couple of weeks but I just haven't had the time and probably wont till after EJS. Here are some pics right after the lift was finished.

And an infamous Moab obstacle I was bumming around on... can anyone guess where it is?

I actually made it pretty easy since it was really sandy and I am running almost bald tires at the moment. Sorry I don't have any pics of the seat install yet.
