So... Check this out. I tore down my tcase today to put my SYE on. My transfercase has always made a hideous sound when i put it in four wheel drive. But i've always just ignored it. Well... I now know what it was! First off, in the bottom, my little magnet is just caked with stuff. it's double the size it should be. Next thing i find stuck to it is the little keepers that go in the synchronizer hub assembly. Along with little chunks of whatever else... Sweet! And the chain binds up on the sprockets really bad. So basically installing my SYE turned into a whole new case rebuild. Awesome...
