X2 I haven't been out in quite awhile now! And I haven't met any of you guys on the forum and it would be nice to know more XJ owners so we can all go out wheeling or plan trips to Moab.

It seems as though having the front and back of the "door holes" connected by the door would have some minor structural pluses. Example - with closed doors, twist the ***** out of your Jeep. While flexed, open the door. After a while of wheeling, you might not be able to close the door until you are unflexed. Wouldn't that imply the door was holding it together a little? It isn't like a stiffener, but still seems to help a little...kinda like a body flex bump stop. But I could be wrong

Of course that applies mostly when a Jeep is getting worn out. At first, they open and close in pretty much all situations...
