Steph, I would look for a locking lug removal tool. It looks like a socket with teeth on the inside that you hammer onto a locking nut that you don't have a key for (or a stripped nut). Good luck!

does the lug nut sit down in the rime or can you hit it with a BFH and brake it off at the rim. my Buddy just got this old cj and all the lugg nuts were rusted on. he used a compressor and turned the air up and they broke clean off on some of them others he had to cut off with a grinder. pm me your phoen and maybe i can stop buy and give you a hand sometime this week.

yes the lugnut is conical and sits down in the rim.... and everything is recessed too.... I wish i could just bust it, but looks not possible.
Thanks for the help offer, i will definitely consider it I won;t be available too much this week though but will let you know if I really get too frustrated lol...

not yet..... but as I said I have been busy this week so i have not been able to get to it..... since it is raining, I know what i am doing this week end lol....
The locking sockets are out of the scene because there is not a nut per se anymore..... more a $#%& piece of metal surrounding the stud and inserted deep.
So Since I read that alloy wheel don;t do too good with blow torches, I am using my little "pentorch" to heat it up and got a 3lbs hammer... (oh yeah the 3lbs hammer missing the chisel is not very good for the wheels either)
I broke more of the nut so far.... but I am really making a bigger mess it seems (I like to learn from mistakes, but that is why I bought the jeep in the first place hehe). I was warned that it would require time and patience I have both.
Tonight I will try to drill into it and make some sacrifices on the altar of my personal mechanical learning

I think I will need some wheels at some point anyway and will definitely pick up the type were the lugnut is not recessed.... I actually saw some of the black steel type at the DI they were $5 each.... was only 3 though so I passed

Anyway, I will keep you informed. I think after that, I will have no fear of playing with the jeep and cutting/drilling stuff.... hood vents, trimmed fenders here I come lol

I'm laughing at the fact that they left the 4X4 badge on it.

I highly doubt that, unless the TC sits between the front seats!
