Before you do that check the basics first. Fire it up and have Kristie rock the wheel back and forth and have a good look at all the joints. This is a good test to determine worn tie rod ends, loose track bar etc. If that all checks out jack her up and have someone grab the front tires at 12 and 6 and yank em back and forth while watching for play in the ball joints. HTH.

lame man, Could also be the tires, splitting carcase, low tire pressure... Throw a new stabilizer on it and it should go away good enough to drive while you figure it out.....

anyone interested in a shift controller for the AW4? i have a AWshifting shift controller i ran in my rig for 5 yrs, worked great when i pulled it. will work great on 88-96 and 96+ with through a CEL but have no issues(just an annoying light on)

75 bucks or 100 and i'll even install it.

Ha ha you need a new steering stabilizer that will fix it.... I had to say it before a newb did!!
All I'm gonna say is..... TRACKBAR.

I've already worked over the steering, replaced the track bar, & steering box (leaked like a siv & had a dead spot)! The steering is tight. I've already checked the ball joints, & hubs. Where the DW seems to be coming from the back half of the tire, which should indicate play in the axle mounting... it had play in the track bar, & now that that's solid, so I'm thinking the RE heims are shot. The jeeps still drivable with caution, but when it desides to DW there isn't a strong enough stabilizer in the world to stop this POS from shaking! Lol

fanning out like this, that's the second leaf from the bottom thats shown. also that picture is taken with the rear axle at it's full flex which is just humiliating. the tire was actually off the ground in the second picture

thats normal, if your real worried about it next time you flex up like that just tap it back into place with a hammer.

The limited flex is most likely shackle angle/length or shock choice.

X2. I have seen them do that due to a loose centering pin as well. so for peace of mind I would tap it back straight and make sure the pin is tight. If it really bothers you and the pin is tight you can build tabs to hold them inline.
