VICTORY is mine...... Ok finally the wheel popped out..... Pretty messed up too....
Now I need to find time to get back to my bastard pack thing... I counted that between kids that keep taking tools and hiding them from me, work, scouts, family, spring backyard preparation.... I should be able to dedicate a whooping average 20 minutes a day to the project..... so I should be done in a couple of month lol....
I probably missed that, where are you going backpacking ?

Anyone know a good place near Provo to pick up some steel for say a bumper or roof rack for a decent price? Or better yet anyone have a steal of a deal on either of these?
I've never tried to fab anything and figured I'd give it a shot, that is if I can talk my friend into letting me practice then use his mig. Because with the price of all the racks and bumpers out there, i'm thinkin thrifty and making my own.

I got the basket completed this weekend (just have to prep, prime, finish and mount it) turned out pretty well I think. A lot sturdier than I expected and the weight on its good (not too heavy) I'll take some pics this afternoon when its a little lighter out and post em up.
