Of course this is nothing compared to all of you guys.... but remember that 2 month ago, I was only able to change oil (barely) and crush my fingers with a hammer....

Anyway this is what I have done so far....
-cleaned and fix some of the electrical pbs
-Changed a couple of hoses and stuff
-semi fix power windows and doors (work only when THEY want to work)
- Removed the lift blocks and did a S10 Blazer bastard pack.
-Changed the drum brakes shoes and hardware and it looks like it is working
-Put some new wheels and tires
... still other things to do of course but I am a slow learner

Here some pictures....

Thanks for the cheers...

for sure I read a lot of forums... I think I read all of them lol, I have several groups of book marks...
I have the Haynes, the Chilton, the PDF one (The motor guy something), I have the FSM for a 88 (couldn;t find 89 ) and pages like EricXJ or lunghd ones...
I can;t help it, I am a scholar by trade lol.... Doctus *** libro would be my motto...

This week end I picked up a pair of Hood vents from a Chrysler New yorker turbo for $5.... I see some cutting/painting/hair pulling in the next couple of month lol

Anyway I think that now it should be able to pass inspection so it is time to register so I can test drive it farther than around the block

I already know that I need to work on front end it is very bouncy and kind of jump all over the place. granted that I am not used to drive a car this old or lifted, it may need shocks and alignment.... and a whistling coming from engine... vacuum, exhaust/intake manifold ??? working on that. But so far it is fun fun fun

I washed the underbody yesterday too for the first time (had the car for 2 month) and discover my exhaust cat was red at some point.... it is funny

Yeah this kind of thing is still in the dream list.... right now it is cheap things to get it running good.... then, if it happen to be as reliable as I hope then I will look into bumpers/carriers/roof racks....

Just found out that there is a knock/banging noise coming from under and I think it may be the transmission.... so this is what I am reading/learning now

Thanks....
A trail that would not involve rock crawling or heavy duty driving (yes I am a beginner there too...) sounds an idea especially with experienced people that could pull me off or show tricks....
End of June I am traveling for work though

The trail isn't bad just enough to have some fun & learn how to 4 wheel! A buddy of mine did it with a 2" lift & bald tires!
Also the date isn't set in stone, so what would work for ya?
