Why so much hate on the disconnect, its not that bad. Convert it to a 1 piece shaft (you would upgrade to chromo shafts in a ford 60 anyways) Weld the tubes, and make a full axle truss across the CAD section. The 32 spline unit bearings eliminate the weakspot of a typical hub. Plus you have plenty of room on the drivers side for a coil bucket unlike the 81+ ford 60's.

I would prefer King Pins as ball joints suck and always loosen up... I would also prefer locking hubs.they aren't that weak, and lockouts are available. everything can be worked around in both directions... its all preference and whats "worth" it to you... a lot of people would not go threw the work to properly prep that axle like you have...
