It's way common for a starter going out to develop a dead spot in the motor. I would replace the starter. If you already did and it's still doing it. I'd say you got a bad starter out of the box.

WOW didnt even see the hybrid... a B pillar & some gussets on the exo would have done the trick. Except for the A pillar that whole things gotta go! lol
