Well, with my work schedule I will probably only get a couple nights in before next weekend. I work 10 days on, then 4 off. So if all goes as planned, I'll spend a couple nights next week on it, then all next weekend on it.. and it should be pretty much done. I ordered some Alloy USA U-Joints for the 44 this morning!
Here's my list of to do's....
1-Plate frame in rear wheel wells.. have the plate.
2-Build coils retainers for frame side... will be very simple.
3-Cut rear 4-link bars to length.. weld in tube adapters.
4-Weld coil buckets to axle.
5-mock up and burn in the frame side link brackets... these are already cut, holes drilled, and ready to install.
6-Run brake lines, bleed brakes.
7-fill diff's, t-case, check all fluids.
8-Mount two more tires. (beads suck to install)
9-Replace all the front end bolts i used for mock up with grade 8's.
Maybe we should have a Work on Corys Jeep day next weekend and have a BBQ!

Ya I think I might have spotted that buggy down there! I really wish I could have made another trail, but the girls were done with trail rides... I'd like to do a guys only trip out there hitting trails from sun up to sun down, & ending at the moab brewery

Got the new shocks last night. I am impressed with the service. i ordered them on Friday and they are already there.... cool.
So I couldn;t wait to get greasy so I installed the rear ones (a nicer ride but it might be psychological lol) and got started on the front.
Is there a trick to remove the front driver side upper bolt ? I ended up removing the airbox to get more room.... changed this one.
Then off to the passenger side.... lower bolts seized and won't move.... so I soaked them with more PBblaster and called it a day (to go put bandaid on my knuckles lol) hope to finish tonight. I am pretty excited
Question about the steering. While I had the airbox out, I took a look at what I think is the steering bar (goes from the streeing wheel to some box in the front with a couple of "u-joints) This is kind of loose. Is there a fix ? like tightening a bolt or something or is it OK ? There is a bit of play in the front where the bar meet the box (the U-joint is not loose).
Yes, the Tavern idea got my attention as well....

Ya I'm not really sure about the steering linkage, but I'm sure its a splined shaft going into the steering box & its not likely there is any way to tighten it up! As long as ur not getting to much play in the steering wheel its fine...
Went down to that rad jeeper shop today & it seems like a way cool shop that does some cool fab work! They had a old land cruiser in there that they put a 5.4 LS turbo in it w/ a shortened D60 & ARB locker...
The only the thing that worries me is that its more of a commission job & not hourly!!!

Be carefull with that Ryan. I've been doing commission sales for the past 7 years and trust me it SUCKS. Especially right now cause very few people are spending money on toys. You never know what your check will be and the stress will kill you. But thats just my $.02.
