I did two reasons for mine.
1. I didn't want a shock mount hanging down off my axle. So i wanted to be able to run it off the top of the axle. That way I won't have a bracket hanging a couple inches down to catch on junk
2. With my rear axle back 6 inches, the shocks won't line up with them stupid mounts in the floor that were stock. So i had to come up with this contraption to satisfy both my needs!

Its easier to get a shock with enough travel that isn't bottoming or topping out with travel.
That is a BEEF mount lol. looks affective! I have always wanted to bring them up threw the floor.... but I can't figure out how I would want to do it.... hmmm.

Since we're on the topic, & I'm bringing my shocks threw the floor. I'm thinking of cutting the shocks shell that surrounds the rod off, so the rod is exposed. Then running them upside down. Thatway only the rod is sticking up threw the floor! Then to keep the cold/mud out I wanna try mount a shifted boot around the hole in my floor... something simple like this\/\/\/, granted I can get it over the shocks eyelet.
