Late response, but Tristen...I am so glad you were talking about changing your mind about hills like the rock pile when you are face to face. I watch vids all the time thinking "If I just did that, it would have gone right up." When I get there again, it never works. Dang pics/vids making things look easy
P.s. was going to come and see you play but, the drive back was scarey enough... was getting very tired! you should post up when your shows are are I'll come watch!
Oh I agree. So many people in Utah think they are hard core... but they can't handle the truth! lol

I would get a cheap one like this... or just get one that will handle your future projects from the start. then you have it and know it...

I just need to learn and practice, so I know what I'm doing before I spend more on a better one. Then maybe I'll know what one to get.

Hey Tom, thanks again for the ujoint replacement education a couple of weeks ago. I had some scrapping and clunking going on underneath. 2 drive shafts joints bad. I replaced all the joints on both shafts and so far so good. The noobs first time doing joints (actually did plenty back in high school but those required a lighter). Gonna pull the snow blower off my friends atv and do some riding and trail running by the jordanelle lake today. Mellow stuff but need to test the front shaft locally

I have access to a really nice Miller at work and a key to the shop. Might be time I start playing around with that sucker.
Just gotta wait to see who the new boss is gonna be and work out covering the cost of the consumables, wire and gas ain't free.
I'm a total newb to welding, but I bet if I can get a few hours playing around with it, good things will happen!
Good, superbuilt, rockbashing things!
