Thanks I got a lot of work ahead of me!
If any of you guys want some CHEAP custom guards made up I'd like to take on the challenge & it would help me get some prototypes together to sell!

My biggest need right now is a TC skid, but I have the Rusty's crossmember so I don't think that would really help you out as not a lot of folks run them. Ideas for products though, I do have. Diff gaurds, oil pan, trans and TC gaurds, fuel tank skid, front skid (I don't care for them but some might). Might want to look at a BPE maybe, front shock extender, steering box reinforcement. Just a few things that come to mind right now. Good luck bro, I really hope this takes off for you. Edit: Almost forgot, i've read a lot on here about guys looking for a bumper light bar that will attach to a stock bumper (why?) but there seems to be guys wanting them.

Huh good lookin out guys!
I was plotting a t-case skid that would run from frame rail to rail + tie into the X-member! The idea is to make the t-case skid X-member cover the factory X with protection like a full belly pan...
Steve would your buddy be interested in a set for his longbed? Say close to the price of the steel!!! Just cause I would need to make a set to get exact measurements, ya know...

No worries if or when it comes time to build a set for the mj I'll hit you up about some measurements!
Our next move is that t-case skid, & some quarter panel guards!

anyone know where i can get some cheap extended brake line. i went down to evco and they quoted me 110 bucks or so for some sweet stainless ones . ild like to save as much dough as possible. i just bought another xj too haha 400 bucks running and driving, wont shift out of first and overheating problems. i think they had gm orange (dex cool) aka death coolant. but i havent taken it apart to see the damage yet. it actually might already have a lockright or something up front, im pretty stoked. my parents dont even know i bought it yet. theyre going to poop there pants. whats even better is that its sitting right outside there window in the backyard where theyll never think to look. bought it with a combo of my last paycheck and some graduation present money. i have an addiction. help

Ryan, i sure don't have $$ to get the fancy things right now (and by fancy I mean extra cool stuff that you could fab lol) but I will remember when it is time for me to do so.... In the mean time, i wish you good luck
I managed to remove the U-joint.... the old rings broke in parts and I found the perfect tutorial to do it.... I put the link in case someone needs it (I doubt it but still). No messing with big or small socket and I have done it in 2 minutes between 2 bricks in my driveway....
http://www.4x4wire.com/tech/axle/ujoint/
Tonight should be the fun put everything back together part.... I finally got the right part (they gave me the wrong one to start with )
Steve, thanks for your offer to help. I went to a couple of places (Midas, Alta...) asking for "quotes" on the catcon and they range between $200 and $300..... that sucks. heck for that price, I should even be able to find a cheap welder and learn to do it.... Wife might not like it though. To be honest, I didn't care for the guys at Alta that told me straight that I didn't really need one...
So I guess when I am ready to do it, I will remember your offer and we can talk...

So I just found out i'm not going to be able to make it out to the snakes on Sunday. My parents just informed me that they are selling their house now that they are moving to Florida, so while you guys are out having a good time on the run, I'll be working on their deck, or doing some sheetrock. Take lots of pictures to make me jealous so there's nothing stopping me from next time
