Thanks man!

I have seen people run this setup as is... no experience with the long term though. I would just leave it single shear and run it, Or start over (I know that's hard to hear) I just don't think welding it to cast is going to be a good idea...

You could mount the bottom link below the knuckle and the upper on top, making the pivot point the knuckle and not the bottom hiem. it will also spread the force on the bolt a little more and have less leverage on the bolt, but that sacrifices clearance a little.... but I have never heard of a bad thing from that setup.

That's exactly how mine is. Same kit and all. I keep an extra 3/4x4 1/2 inch bolt with me in case the one in there bends or snaps. But I'm not too worries about it. I know that's how Corys is too

personal preference really, i just don't like the idea of all the stress being on one end of the bolt. but like i said, i know alot o fpeople running it that way, most with hydro assist and have had no problems with it.

I am going to double shear it, I see no problems with welding to cast as long as it is done properly. I just wanted to know if there was a specific reason that ballistic didn't show it this way on their website.. Thanks for the input man!

That's good to know, I guess I should have just looked at yours since I knew you were running the same kit!

If I double shear it then the stress won't be on one end of the bolt, and thanks Derek

No problem, there is nothing wrong with welding a top arm, I just don't know (no experience) of how long it would hold up. If it is heated and cooled properly it probably would last for ever.... I've seen a lot of people run it how you have it now, Never heard a complaint. Opinions are like %$^ holes, Everyone has them, Mine is just a little slutty and I like to share it a lot LOL

Either way your setup is looking sick! any idea on when you will be able to come out and play?

I wasn't planning moab on the 29th cause im still playing financial catch up from my knee injury. A couple of my local friends are planning to go that weekend. My friend offered me a place to stay and would cover all my food as long as i cover my gas and beer. I really want to go as i have lived in Utah for 4.5yrs and never been to moab. Where are you guys camping at ??

Well the only big things left until it is wheelable are the gears, driveshafts, and brakelines. So basically once I get off my lazy *** and Install the gears it will be good to go.
