Kansas City bs Thread
#2671
Im trying to get my new hitch installed, almost had it all buttoned up but the hitch is squeezing the sides of my gas tank skid together so tomorrow I need to open up the mounting holes a bit. I removed the rear bumper to install the hitch, and decided to remove the end caps to. Found rust and Im in the process of cutting it out and priming it. I still want to get the flares on, even though I havnt been stopped by the authorities and I like the look of no flares, it would be nice to have flares to be considered legal in most states and to help deflect flying mud/rocks.

There is probably a little more aftermarket support for the 231... but plenty out there for the 242 still.

I have to disagree. The 242 is a good and strong tcase. Its a little bigger and heavier than the 231... but definitly not bad. It has a 2wd option and the full time 4x4 actually makes it better to drive on pavement in 4x4.

the biggest thing about the 242 is that im used to having the full time option. Never go to firestone btw. somehow it took 4 hours to mount and balance two tires.

Ew. Sam's club is cheaper and they let me watch and direct the guy so it took like 30 minutes for 5 tires
