Hey guys, I'm up in Chicago but am moving down south in the summer. The original plan was for northern KY, but I'm considering southern IN (half hour or so from Louisville, KY) and am just wondering what kind of parks are around. I have tabs open on my browser, but I'm only seeing the Badlands and Haspin in Laurel, and a lot of ATV/motocross places.

Checking in from Indianapolis but not going to be wheeling anytime soon. Need to work on the old beat up high mileage beastie. Needs a master cyl, rear axle seal and new pads up front. Need to pull and clean the Neutral Safety Switch so I can reliably start it. Needs some grill parts and a right passenger front fender (might just pound on it). Something to do this Summer.

Struggling with my brakes. While driving one day the pedal just went to the floor with no resistance. The mech that crunched my jeep said it was the master cylinder but it is not. Next will pull the drums because the mech also said I had a leaking rear drive shaft seal and some "adjuster" was missing. I did not pay attention at the time but if one of the drum adjusters is missing I bet the "leak" is brake fluid and the travel is due to too much slave cylinder travel but I will not know until I pull the drums. I also can't imagine an adjuster missing unless a spring broke and also, where would it go?

Just picked up a 29 spline 8.25 complete with drum brakes on it so I have enough parts to at least get it moving so I can get it into the garage without going out the other side (my goal right now).
Pic-a-Part will be my friend this Summer. Going to look for the disc setup then.
Other than that, it really needs a lot of TLC from the crunched corner to some rust and old vacuum lines, etc. One thing at a time.

Hey all. I recently purchased my 2000 XJ in January, 2014.
This XJ will mainly be used for towing a trailer of toys (dirtbikes/street bikes), hauling people 3+ on a regular basis, and 4X4 for winter weather (LOTS of use this winter so far).
I've started fixing things on it already. First up was the Blower Motor Resistor. Pretty simple, but I'm definitely not made to fit in the passenger floor well! Next up is washer fluid pump. After that I get to dig into intermittent drive-side door lock, as well as front door speakers on both sides.
I'm considering doing a suspension upgrade. I don't want to get too crazy, but I'd like to have at least 31" tires on it. I had a 2002 TJ with 30.5 tires and that was enough for what I wanted.
