I attempt to run an offroad club haha and we try to hit the badlands as much as we can.

 

There any XJ gurus in the Fort Wayne area that could look over the '97 Cherokee I picked up this weekend for items that need attention/fixed? I already know I need to do a tranny soleniod swap lol.

 

checking in from the indy area. bought a 97 xj 2dr 4wd automagic. 134k miles, completely bone stock - state owned vehicle. it's red with the brownish like interior with tan panels.

my first jeep. I love it. I bought it for a dd and plan to keep it as near stock as possible. when the weather warms up I will be repainting the wheels, fender flares, trim, grill, etc. at this point in time it has 0 rust, so I also will be undercoating everything I can.

currently in the process of replacing the fluids. it had a new radiator, fan, water pump, and rad hose on it when I bought it.

Hell yea! I'd be down.

At the begining of next month, my 91 (the offroader) will be registered, insured and road worthy again (it got totaled last year) then hopefully by the end of the month, it will have all my upgrades on it.

So yea, I'll wheel with ya, maybe my dad too. I'm always open to find a new spot. I just gotta get some stuff done first. Lol

 

here is a pic I snapped within 5 mintues of purchase. I have since found the rear view mirror and missing center cap. both located in the hatch area along with the factory floor mats. which at this point the center caps aren't a big deal as I found 4 new ones on fleabay and bought them about 1.5 months ago.

 

very cool man ya im still stock to but not for long but our group of jeeps range from stock to 6.5 in lift on 35s and a tj on 35s locked front and rear with full long arm set up so ya we fo from mild to wild lol

 

I'm from Parke County but work just outside of Crawfordsville. Wheel at the badlands. Nothing special just a 97 with 3.5" and 31" at's. It's my DD. Sold my 87 MJ last year with fullsize axles and 35's.

true but i like to play on the rocks some to and i would like to still open my doors when we leave the park lol
