haha I get a little bit of time to relax but a whole lot less then most people my age...
Just got back from work, now to cut the grass and do some leafs, then to paint the trim in my sisters room and upstairs hallway, since I just finished painting the walls...
But since I got the night off, I may go visit a women friend while shes at work
Then back to work tomorrow at 7:30...

HAHA yeah, I have a house, 2 dogs and a gf. Plus a full time job, and side jobs.

Then there is my garage time, the house remodeling, shopping and all that ps. I hate it. I bailed on goign to the movies tonight because I havent been home at all this week. Except to sleep. And I been going to bed late because I had to squeeze in Forum time.

haha yeah night seems to be good forum times, I try to get on at work if its slow, but your not suppose to be using the internet at work...
Also got invited to halloweekends but working that early tomorrow plus its like $35? that is about 1/14 of the price of the motor I need to buy, that I saved by not going. Eventhough I really wanted to go, since my sisters single friend who just happened to be only a year older then me that I have a slight past with didn't have a guy to go with
But I think she may be here tomorrow night too, hopefully to stay the night again
Of course I had to go make a night home-depot run after visiting the lady friend for a little since I ran out of caulk and am about to finish my 2.5G bucket of primer, and got a few pieces of trim to finish up some spots and still need to go grocery shopping..
Although tomorrow after work I will have some free time to relax and watch the Buckeyes win another one!
And at a friends house whose making/buying all the food so no money spent and no cleaning up afterwards

Nice! I will be working and miss the second OSU game in a row. Ill be home for the browns tho!

I like home depot! I like buying tools and stuff. This lady Im doing work for, her brother died and Im helping get rid of his stuff. I am getting a 40x40 12 drawer tool box with tools for 250 or 250 worth of work!

I guess he has a nice motor on a stand from a chevy in his basement that Ill be going after. Also some good woodworking machines. If you need anything particular let me know cause she is selling all of it. (snow blower, air compressor, ladders, saw horses) Ill know more later.

We need to meet up some time.

Sounds like a good deal on the tools and box!
Haha let me say I have just about every tool I could ever need.
Also got a snowblower but would love to get a plow for the ride on mower..
Yeah we should hit up Jeepskool as soon you get your XJ and I have mine up here.
Also got the SBC sitting in my 1972 C10 shortbed ready to go...
I just need time to finish the body work and put her back together and get her painted!

If you can't tell I am very into my "toys" but I work my a$$ off for it, and wouldn't change a thing.
My most recent "toy" I got in August was my new to me Arctic Cat Jag 440

Haha oh real tools.
One thing I wouldn't mind having, although I couldn't afford at the moment would be a drill press. Any chance they would have one and for real cheap?
Also I forgot to ask do you know any details on the chevy motor?

Not yet, Im waiting for her to call back. I just finished a job up over there but didnt have a chance to look around!

Ill take pics and all that when I do. Im guessing it will be pretty cheap, but who knows.

I need a bigger garage before I get to much. Although Ill cram all I can in for now!

Im interested to find out about the motor although I wont want it for myself. Just the cherrypicker/engine stand really. Unless its some built motor, then I might find some use for it

Ps Im sure I said this before but that motor looks good. lol

Thanks
Haha if you find out some good things about that motor you know some people have dropped SBC into an XJ
That would be awesome, especially because I am sure if the motor has been sitting in the basement for some time, that they won't want too much for it and for as light as the XJ is, I'm sure it would fly!
Yeah one nice thing of moving out of the city where you have some land you can have someone come build a 30'x40' USbuilding for about $7kish? and that should be enough room for a few Jeeps and parts
I'm trying to think of anything else I could use tool wise that they might have but at the moment its hard to think haha

What do you do for a living? Or do you just work on rehabs on the side?
I would love to build a garage like that when I get my own place, a nice oversided 3 car, and then still have a shed to put all the lawn stuff out there!
Thanks man just whenever you get a list let me know, and I may find something I need!

I do landscaping for a living, but I started with construction and still do sometimes. Guy I work for owns 110 properties and a landscape company. I also managed his car wash lol

I guess Im a jack of all trades, which is sweet for me. It sure beats paying people to do crap for me. If I find land Ill probably slowly build my own home. (Have foundation laid because I dont do cement, unless its a drive or walkway) But I have a hard time finishing big projects that are my own. I guess I would have to stick to it and not stretch it out!

Haha that is nice to be know things like that. You can save a boat load of cash, or make a pretty good chunk of change doing those things.
110 properties?! Thats awesome, but I bet things could get pretty stressful at times and I am sure hes always working.
One of my sisters friend is kinda a jack of all trades and hes 24 now and owns his own landscaping company and he and his dad own a wine shop here in Westlake, both of which are pretty successful. I gotta say I am jealous and wish I could say I started my own company..

Yeah I do side work but not an official company, quite a bit to get it started and I cant dedicate the time to it right now.

We stay pretty busy, I mostly do landscaping for him. He has 2 guys that do the painting and maintenance. I fill in help out when needed, its not really my cup of tea. And landscaping isnt gonna last cause its rough on my body. I really get sick of being wore and sore. So I need to start my own so i can do less manual labor and more bossing.

Haha yeah I did a summer of sub-contracting my first year out of high school, between me and a few buddys we were our own crew and worked on bank owned houses to get the yards looking decent, and also did a few basement tear outs, to just drylok the walls and paint the floors.
It was pretty good for the time, but you were beat at the end of the day.

But being the boss would be nice, they seem to all have nice trucks (or Jeeps ), come check out the job, say looks good or do better, and then some phone calls and paperwork.
