Anyone locally ever done a cross country overlanding style trip? I'm kicking around the idea of possibly taking a month or so off work in September or October of next year. Starting here(Cbus) then traveling west to CO, WY, UT, ID, SD, OR, WA, CA to name a few. Spending the majority of my time in Utah, Colorado, California(dad lives there), Washington to visit a close friend.

In my experience on the highway:
In my 98 xj with 31s and 3.55 I get about 20 mpg
And in my 92 MJ with 3.07s and 31s I get about 22 mpg.
But in town I get better mpg in the XJ.
