ohio roll call
ah, I ain't schoolin anyone.
And I am not saying aftermarket stuff is not better.
What I am saying is that stock components are pretty darn good.
Believe it or not I am pretty sensitive to wheeling. As in I know when to let off the gas. So I don't break much.
As of yet (over 100 times wheeling with this current jeep) I don't have a good reason to replace the steering with larger components. But again I don't just beat my jeep through the rocks. I crawl the rocks slow and methodical. If my steering arm hits a rock I back up and change my approach.
I may even get the larger stuff one day. But I do know for the average occaisional wheeler who drives every day the stock stuff is fine.
But it comes down to your dollar, not mine.
For me my next several upgrades will be in body armor. That is what is stopping me the most. I tend to throw in the towel when body damage may happen. LOL
Anyone have an opinion on BDS lifts? I know you all have xjs but I can get a 4 in bds complete lift with shocks from someone who's upgrading to long arms. Hes gonna throw in some quick discos and he says all the bushings are still pretty good. (Id probably still replace them anyways) for 500 plus shipping.

BDS great stuff, I know a few guys that work there. Just pricy.
Is it worth it? All depends on how deep your pockets are.

I wheeled some of northern Utah. I love the mountains. Waiting to graduate and get a better paying job to save some money and I'm gonna move back out there. The mountains are great. But Obviously I dream of Moab. That's a big future trip. Maybe have the ohio guys make an invasion on the jeep safari some day? Could be fun.
