So started driving the jeep today and had this horrible clunking sound from the rear end. I just had everything but the R&P, and axle shafts replaced on the Dana 44. The noise would get worse the faster I got then the brakes started to slip when I hit the brakes. Just dropped it off at the Midas that did the work. I pray to God it's not the ring and pinion.

I also know the feeling. The other day I was freaked out because the jeep was dead silent going down the highway...... and as we all probably know that's not normal.

Just had the brakes in the rear done middle of December along w/ seals, bearings, etc. Turns out the seals were leaking a tiny bit so they fixed that plus the noise was a piece of the hardware came loose on the shoe on the right side and that was making the noise so thankfully it's all fixed now free of charge. When I get new shafts and or the disc brake kit For the rear I'm going to get the Alloy USA seals to make sure I don't have a problem for a long time with seals.
