Yeah I'm from belpre. I work on SouthSide pburg. I was able to walk across the creek, the road goes through the creek partially and has some holes in it that I was concerned about. Since your from pburg, you might know where goose creek is out in wirt county. That's where this was at.

I am also down for another meet but I probably will not make it to one this month. But if we do one in April or later, also I could make it to that one.

Wow, goose creek! Haven't been out there since I was like 13 yrs old. 33 now. My old baseball coach had a farm out there we use to fish at. Man I sure miss that area. If I ever bring my jeep down to visit family I will let you know and see if your available and would be interested in a ride.

For got to mention that I convinced my brother who currently has a dodge Cummins. Who had been looking for a small trail only rig(because he can't fit down the trails) well I convinced him to get a Cherokee over a wrongler! So now there will be 2 xjs 1tj a cj5 and 2cj7's all in the immediate family! Who can say jeepin family!!! Lol
Someone help me out. I'm trying to get this dana 35 out from under my jeep. I don't feel like re-gearing it. I would prefer to upgrade my rear end as I re-gear. Trying to figure out the easiest and cheapest way. Really leaning towards the 8.8 swap. Anyone here have personal experience with the Ford 8.8? Or does someone have a 44 laying around they wanna sell me:-)

I know there are some threads about which axle is best to replace the 35. I know there are a lot of 8.8 and 8.25s in the yards here in Columbus. I have a 44 but it's already under my XJ
Yeah I've read a lot about it, everyone calls the 8.8 an easy swap but it really don't sound all that easy. Welding the axle tubes and new spring and perch mounts aren't a problem, I can have my buddy at work do that. The rest I'm unsure about, like proportioning valve and u joint adapters or conversion and what not. I was hoping to get lucky and find out one of you good fellas had already gone through it. Was your 44 out of an old xj or something else. I pound Craigslist hoping to find one of those old XJ's with the 44.
