Which actually i was just looking at shocks i was wanting... question for yall... if im building the upper and lower mounts myself... do you guys see any reason NOT to run the 5150's front AND rear with the same lengths? reason being is i can grab a spare one day and keep it around... order parts for all the same... yatta yatta... the 5150's ill be buying the longest they have actually...
Good luck finding 5150's.

They stopped making those. They're 5160's now. They're remote res now instead of piggy back.

Though, I wouldn't suggest you get 5150's anyhow. That's what I have and regret it. If you're going to spend that much on a shock then make sure you're going to get one that is rebuildable. If not, you might as well go ahead and pick up coil-overs instead.

Dude.
If your gonna spend the cash get 7100s, or if you want to go big go 9100s.
You could also look into other brands...FOA, King, Fox..bilstein isnt the only big dog.

Also like Andy said..the 5150s are done.. they got replaced by the 5165s.

For the price id just step up and go 7100s (full remote resi) or consider going to FOA or another brand.

Once I get to that point of my build im going to run either bilstein 9100s, some fox 2.0s, or some mid-level kings.

Also..why so much lift? After wheeling so many different lifts and tire setups ive come to realize that a lower lift and a good stance will go a lot further than something super tall.

My 4.5" lift and 35s will do just about anything I want it to do with the 3 link.

Id go 6" max for 35s.

ive still found them... and i could easily go air shocks in the rear since the cage was originally built with and for them... i just dont want to spend anymore money on this thing... if i bought those they would be the most costly and nice thing on it...

ive looked at the 2.0's and studied many... these are all i wanted for this thing and all i wanted to spend... actually still over what i want to spend... id put junkyard shocks on it if i could...

its already on 40's and 4.5... lol... thats the XJ! the cage is already done and setup for air shocks so im sure i could use most of that for long travels... dont really want to ditch the leafs for airshocks... already spent the money to get the leafs under there...

A lot of folks have had issues with the FOA's, mainly leaking (air shocks), I don't know anyone running their regular shocks, I have heard great things from the poly performance Big Black **** Shocks also.
