The only cosmetic differences between an early model and late model are the interior, mirrors, fender, header panel, tail lights, hatch and the lack of a vent window on the front doors.
But those are relatively small changes when you consider most generations have huge differences...

Like f150s... eclipses... all kinds of cars.

Oh yeah, I can see how people couldn't tell a difference if they weren't into XJs. To me it looks totally different. I've been wanting a late model so I just swapped the late model clip on to suffice until I'm ready to buy one.

Thoughts on the $130 ish dollar snorkels on ebay? I was thinking about making one out of 2 1/2 pvc but with what thatd cost + a dryer vent to top it with I could have a cleaner looking install if I get this kit. The concerns I have is this dam thing leaking, not giving the motor enough air and it catching rain when driving down the road.

This ones $120.

Eh I avoid water cause I fear hydrolock, like a kid afraid of the dark. I like how they look even if I dont use it. Just dont want it to fail if I do need it.

I used to think they looked cool too.
Until I thought about how cool it would look when they are getting mangled going down tight trails.

True, but I don't do tight trails, or atleast haven't had the opportunity to. But I could do these.

Ya Im sure the "American seller" Is selling chinese products that he has just had shipped to America. I am all for buying American but theres no reason the ARB kit should be $400+ its just pieces of plastic. If it was $150-$200 Id order it over chinese.

Did he ever get in touch with you?? I'd personally stay away from a zj. I've never owned one but all my friends ones are crap. They just seem poorly made in my opinion.

Saw a wrangler suck up water cause the seal on the fender (something along those lines) failed. May not be anything wrong, but I won't run em. They are the equivalent to lift blocks to me.

he bugged me all weekend to make sure i didnt sell it - i text him sat. and told him i was about to trade it for a dodge 1500 xtra cab 4x4. it had low miles, budget boost and would have made a good tow rig, but i passed cuz he swore he would call me monday - iv tried calling him and he has yet to call me back. oh well. i dont hate my jeep - just wanted a little extra room and really just wanted another project - i dont get attached to vehicles.
