Just paint the hatch and fender instead of screwing up the paint on the entire Jeep.

Chrysler paint that matches.

If you paint it and it doesn't match then the new owner only has to paint the fender and hatch properly to match. Instead of the entire Jeep.

Travis was talking about the 01 bearings only working, not the 98-01's. You were both talking about the way it sits in the knuckle or something lol

The difference in the bearings is because of the rotor. For the WJ calipers to sit where they should on the slide pins the rotor has to be in the correct spot.

You can use the hubs and rotors that you have on the Jeep currently but they won't line up with the WJ calipers very well. You'll see where people that reused early model bearings and rotors had to use spacers to line the caliper up with the rotor better.

Is that what a 1/4" spacer would be used for on the caliper bracket between that and the caliper?

I saw someone use 1/4 plate and he cut out a spacer to go right there in between the two since the knuckle spacer was 1/4". Video on YouTube.

Yup.

By using the late model hub and rotor you don't have to do that.

IIRC, I used rotors from a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport-trac

You need the 1999.5 & up unit bearings.
