Depends on how far we are, we might be on the other side of the state ish. If I come camp, I'll have to make some new friends. I don't have anyone I'm bringing and only know you and Stump.
Do I want to build a rear bumper or get a locker first?

Does anyone know if a 2wd trans has a bolt on tail shaft??
I know some one with a 2wd 01 with low miles and I can get the trans for super cheep !!
if it will work in my 88 if I can bolt my transfercase to it????

Once the tail-cone is removed, it's the same transmission... except the output shaft is different. Which you could swap but you'd have to take apart the entire transmission. Just get a 4wd transmission if at all possible. Also, look into this thread: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970
That's a lot to read but I get the basics it would work but take alit of work
