I dont know how they do it out there.. But ive been stopped and "chatted" with about my doors,.. or lack there of.. I was told by several officers of the suwanee, lawrenceville, and gwinnett county police departments you need a driver side mirror and one other mirror.. Per state laws.. Now whether or not said officers are willing to overlook that, thats their choice or whatnot.. Im just sayin.. I was also told by a police sergeant that anything lifted or lowered 2 inches above/below manufacturer specifications is illegal..

I would. What I did was pull one off a old conversion van at pullapart it was with in with the jeeps so I guessing it was a dodge van or something chrysler. It was mounted with 4 screws, I thought i'd make a bracket but what I ended up doing is sliding it in between the body and fender, and zip tieing it in place using a hole already in the fender and the hole on the top door hinge.. Holds it in place real nice... And zip ties are cheap... Lol it works..

This is whats written in the state books... I grew up with sevetal cop buddies... One with a doorless xj lol.... And thr lift law is so stupid none of them push it... my buddy rides around on 50in military tires with no problems down here... Although ive had one buddy with a 32in lift and 44's and they did pull him over.... But he was acting stupid and gave them other reasons..

I have a buddy that is a sheriff who has two monster lifted trucks. one you need a ladder to get in. He has a 30" lift.

As far as the mirrors go, you need one that can see back x amount of feet. I don't know, nor can I get a straight answer as to how many feet though from any law enforcement.

As far as an xj cruisen, Nathan got me covered. I am game.

I would fight that. If loud pipes are illegal than there shouldnt be a single harley allowed to drive on a road!

Sometime you gotta tell the cop to **** off! You have every right to tell him that if he is being ignorant.

Sent from my iPhone because web wheeling is cheaper...
