Haha I'm good on installing. If u can find a 8.8 LSD 4.11 ratio u be pretty awesome! Yea I don't wanna the 35 anymore. Everytime I hear a twig snap under my tires I think its my axle lol.

Watched a guy the other day do an soa on a yj. Through the perches on the axle lined em up and torqued the threads almost off it. Basically didn't weld the perches. I just don't see this as a good idea.

8.25 is boss, I have seen em welded, geared locked and still perform pretty good. If yers is pre 96 its the 29 spline which is regarded only slightly better then d35 the 31 splines where its at. Its still a big carrier. Aftermarket on em is less and mods cost lil more on an 8.25 but u can build it in half the price of a swap with chromoly and all. I have also seen 4.88 gears e lockers in a d30/35 combo on 33's behind a 4.2. Guy never had an issue wheeled it everywhere.

If u do all that I'd say u wouldn't ever have a prob breaking. I wheeled my 98 hard on stock 8.25 3.73 LSD and did awesome never an issue. But I don't dog it either. I would have went Aussie if I did not have a LSD carrier in mine which I would have had to bought a open 3.73 carrier which is rare on an 8.25. I think or that might ta been fer the d30. Either way 8.25 is a good axle in my regards. I'd take one but more expensive then 8.8 and no OEM 4.10 gears.

Yeah I don't plan on running anything bigger than a 35 and if I do go bigger I'm going to go 1 tons.
