If I may ask, what's the point of a gooseneck over a normal hitch? Better stability, and control?

Weight distribution and control.

Adding a 4 foot dovetail to the end. Like I said, building it to be just big enough for one rig. I'll have to find the build thread of what I'm basing it off of

Ya like said... more stable... All your weight is set in the bed directly over the axle... helps with traction also...

Yeah, but it's not my truck that pulls it and it had a camper cover.

Well, after towing it out of my garage and to the side yard and then letting it sit, I guess she got upset because she started right up! And I drove it up and down the street!
