temp does not get hot when it dies.. going to also look at the cam sencer too.. have read that might be the main cause and the best one to start swapping 1st

I have owned many jeeps and have NEVER seen or heard of the cam sensor dieing... Willing to bet on crank sensor... Getting iver 3.0V AC from it?

And a temp sensor has nothing to do with how itll run... Unless its failed and you overheat... Lol... If ita failed it will leave the gauge at zero forever...

Haha so wrong... there a temp sensors and a coolent temp sensor. Ones on the rear if the head on diver side tells you how hot you are. The other is right by the thermostat. It tells the computer how hot you are. And to prove a point while your Jeep is cold go out side and unplug the coollent temp sensor. That's the one by the front of the block by the thetmostat. Now just try to start you Jeep...... see no start... you can confuse and get it to start but that's not what were trying to do. The coollent temp (the one in front) tells the computer how hot how much choke and a few other things. I've had two Jeeps that this has gone out on..... you need to research this a little more before making yourself look dumb posting crap.....

Careful who u talk crap to with that attitude...

Thought he had a renix which doesnt carry that sensor... Looks like hes got a 91 though... Dunno where I read that... So relax and chill on the needle...

ok it was the crank shaft sencer... wires were melted to gether...lol
