Question is would u run it or adjust it. I would have to pull the bearing race to adjust and that would ruin my one and only crush/thrust washer. But if that is what needs to be done then so be it. I can order another washer for cheap but gears and what not well that is needless to say how high it can get.

Ok, The .005" backlash was the most recent picture?
Try and move the backlash up to about .007" that should move the contact away from the toe a bit.
Technically, it's close enough. After I've beat on mine for a couple years it has managed to run out to about .035" of backlash and it hasn't blown up yet. lol

And see i like my backlash. I think if i adjust it i will do pinion depth. Ofcourse that will effect everything but i would feel better about it.
