How many ideas can be for the sliders... isn't it something simple like the slider itself and a step coming forward and out as a step?

To me, a slider with a step is a heavy duty step bar. A step snags, it doesn't slide smoothly over obstacles. Most step bars are designed to hold the weight of a person, not an entire vehicle. Accordingly, cost increases with strength. With a slider, frame plating, attaching to or flattening the pinch seam can be involved in order to gain ground clearance and strength. Hi-lift points can be incorporated in a slider design, but are not required for steps.

Ok how about a slider with a slight curve to wrap the rocker panels?
I mean I'm just mentioning stuff...I have not the slightest clue as far as rock sliders I just want them to add on to the truck...so I do "plan" a long distance trip to rock climb I want to safe than sorry
