Morning gentlemen...

Sorry to bother but I'm stuck at my girls home trying to get the jeep rolling... I decided to try to use the jeep as a DD, she didn't like that...

Ideas would be awesome.... here's the page

Is it cranking but just not turning over like it has electricity but no fuel? I mean, I heard your XJ having sputtering problems i.e. fuel starvation so maybe your fuel pump is out.

You said you checked fuses but what about the fuel pump relay?

In the relay/fuse box located in the engine bay on the passenger side. I think it's like the second relay from front to back but the lid to the box should tell you.

You could always try this:

Thanks for the help battle, walt shot me an idea to disconnect the fuel line from the rail and to make sure that wasn't clogged... I reconnected it and it started... so I'm thinking maybe its fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, something of that nature... even what u said about the air / fuel mixture

No problem! At least now you know it's fuel related instead of something with the battery or starter.
