Did you ground the sensor wire to it ? To check gauge ? When you did the oil wire ground did you turn the key to run ?

I gotta try that... but last time I drove the jeep it was low on gas that the light came on... I noticed the gas gauge needle go from beyond fuel to slowly creeping up to fuel...

So when I took off the tank the floater is good but the stick attached to it is super loose, I'm wondering if I play with it if I can fix it

I dont suggest messing with electrial things around open holes of gas tank ....Sure would not turn key on and run pump with out it being in tank sure way to burn emm up running dry.

He just did it to check if gauge was working...but the sending unit looks brand new!!
But it can have a bad potientameter....

Its gonna look bran new it sits in gas allday...you check the gauges by grounding the wires to the sender . think of it as a dimmer switch on a house light the more it rises the brighter the light/gauge rises...

Clermont is just north of Orlando and has rolling hills and valleys nice place to off road, for me I'm from Chattanooga and I'm sick of the flatlands. Just sold the house and heading back up near there in Georgia.

At LKQ right now. There's a 96 2.5 2wd manual with a 8.25. Anyone want 4:10s?

8.25 rear check build date in door might be 29 spline ...
